SVI:Alberta Lite - The Location

Ralph Klein Park is a one-of-a-kind urban environment where nature, infrastructure, and design are intentionally integrated.

Located in southeast Calgary, just 15 minutes from downtown, the park is built around one of the largest constructed wetland systems in Canada, naturally filtering stormwater before it returns to the Bow River.

Surrounded by wetlands, boardwalks, and prairie landscapes, the park offers a quiet, reflective environment where visitors can slow down, observe wildlife, and experience the integration of natural systems and design.

At its centre is the award-winning Interpretive Centre, overlooking the wetlands and designed as a space for learning, gathering, and connection. With modern architecture and elevated views over the water, it offers a setting grounded in nature—one that invites reflection on how we live in relationship with the land.
