Joh’s purpose statement is ‘to tell the story behind the numbers, so that others can make informed decisions’. They have spent a lifetime making the numbers make sense to others, through both their own Accounting Consulting practise as well as various organizations. It all started at the age of 16 doing the books for their family farm, then taking an Accounting course in high school that led to doing well in an Accounting countywide contest, and really never looking back. Joh has made a career of analyzing financials, using numbers as a tool and foundation for decisions, while never losing sight of the organization’s mission and vision. Roles that ranged from Financial Analyst to Chief Financial Officer, from small to large organizations have given them the skills and experience to think both strategically and operationally.
Joh has a passion for lifelong learning, holds a CPA, CGA professional Accounting designation as well as a Masters in Business Administration. They continue to learn more each year, most recently completing the Certificate in Economic Development from the University of Waterloo.
As an EIR, Joh works alongside entrepreneurs to create sustainable long term social impact, has seen the unique struggles of entrepreneurs through farming, and can relate with a passion for leaving the world in a better place than we found it!
