Immigrant Techies Network

Wunmi Adekanmbi is the Executive Director of Immigrant Techies Network, a national non-profit organization where she leads programs and partnerships that have impacted more than 3,000 immigrant professionals in Alberta’s innovation economy.  She is also the Founder of ReSkill Calgary, a social innovation venture that designs future-focused programs at the intersection of technology, workforce development, and entrepreneurship.

Over the last 18+ years, her work has spanned academia, industry, and community leadership, always with a focus on shaping how people and systems learn.  She designed and delivered flagship initiatives such as PathwayPro (a $700K Workforce Strategies project that supported 145 immigrant professionals and helped build 15+ functional software products for 18 early-stage founders), Elevate (a leadership accelerator for immigrant executives in tech and business), and TechMosaic YYC (a city-wide convening of 400+ immigrant professionals, tech startups and ecosystem builders with sponsorship from RBC, Long View Systems and Calgary Economic Development). Most recently, she has been leading Trade Without Borders, a series spotlighting unconventional markets like Africa and the role of immigrant networks in advancing Canada’s global trade.
