Earthware offers a return-for-reuse zero waste takeout container program in Calgary, Airdrie, Canmore and Banff. Their mission is to tackle the millions of single-use container waste that ends up in our province's landfills, and their partnership with the Alberta Bottle Depot Association marks a global first in reusable systems. We hear that peer support and mentorship are often a pivotal resource for social ventures, and that word of mouth is the best way to find meaningful support. We are leveraging both concepts as we develop Namada, an online resource navigation for social entrepreneurs in Alberta.So much more than just a map, learn how Namada works, benefiting both social ventures, capacity builders and resource providers, and the ecosystem more broadly. Explore other work being done to help coordinate this space, what role you can play, and get a chance to try Namada for yourself.

Dr. Kevin wâsakâyâsiw Lewis is a nêhiyaw (Plains Cree) instructor, researcher, write and founder of kâniyâsihk Culture Camp, a year round eco-tourism company that promotes First Nations experiences. Their social venture funds Canada's only Cree Land Based Immersion School, kâ-nîyâsihk mîhkiwâpa Centre of Excellence.
