Growing Greener Innovations
Connie Stacey is the founder and president of Growing Greener Innovations, Inc. (GGI). Connie holds a BA from the University of Alberta as well as a diploma in Computer programming, and brings 20 years of experience from the IT sector to her work at GGI. She founded GGI in 2014 with a desire to create a better generator— silent, no fumes, no carbon emissions. Upon developing the patented GRENGINE™ solar battery generator, she expanded her patented design into the battery energy storage sector. Their high-quality GRENGINE™ power products offer the advantages of low installation costs and simple scalability, and they will reduce overall energy use and GHG emissions and increase the ROI from renewable power generation. Their mission is to help reduce GHG emissions and end energy poverty. For good.
Connie is deeply involved in the Edmonton community, sitting on the steering committee of NAIT's Centre of Grid Innovation and Innovate Edmonton's new Innovation Growth Council. She has also won numerous leadership and business awards, including; 2020 Global Woman of Vision; named to the 2020 World Changing Women list; was named by the Globe and Mail as one of Canada's top 50 Changemakers (2021); was named Alberta Women Entrepreneur of the year by the Alberta Chamber of commerce (2021); and won the 2021 Pitch for the Purse (national pitch competition).
